Subject: Hawaii Masters Track Club Schedule for 2012

Note: Only HMTC dues paid members who hold 2011 USATF athlete registration may compete in HMTC meets. Be prepared to present your 2012 USATF athlete registration card number at meets.

___________________________________________________________

To compete in these meets, participants must be dues paid members of Hawaii Masters Track Club and present their 2012 USATF Membership number. Details about these memberships are available on the club website, U.H. Sunset Meets . These requirements are needed to ensure insurance coverage and to allow meets to be sanctioned if a sanction is requested. There are no fees to members to compete in these club events. Please arrive at Kaiser in time to warm up before the times posted above when the first heat or flights will begin. Throwers will be allowed six attempts except if entered the throws pentathlons when only three attempts are allowed. Please email Jack Karbens at jkarbens@aol.com by the day before each meet you plan to enter so that he can bring equipment for your event. Each size implement for each throws event and age bracket will be provided by the club. Please attend the Mini-meets even if you cannot compete in order to help, officiate and work out.
HMTC Practice Meets, Senior Olympics, Banquet, USATF Membership

The complete Sunset Meet schedule and instructions are listed at U. H. Sunset Meets. We each need bring lots cold hard cash to pay $5 or $6 to park at UH and probably $3 per event(donation) when we register to compete. We need to be checked in a half hour before our events and warmed up to compete at the posted time. We will probably be allowed four attempts in the jumps and throws.

If possible, please wear your HMTC tee shirt or tank top when you compete so that our club can be recognized. I will bring club shirts to pass out to dues paid members who have not received the new club tee shirt.

Please pay your 2012 HMTC club dues if you have not paid to date. Also, please secure your 2012 USATF athlete's card by going to www.usatf.org and paying with a VISA card. Consider paying for four years at the discounted rate.
   Subject: Summer Track Schedule

Note to all:

First, the meeting Saturday will be held in the Track and Field Conference room at UH (which is the old football conference room) – location, as noted, is third floor of the athletic department offices – climb the stairs to the third floor (okay, the elevator also goes there), enter the main third floor door at the top of the stairs, proceed across the lobby and turn right down the hallway – conference room is about two-thirds of the way down the hall, on the left.   Piece of cake.   Want to make sure everyone uses the correct terminology – New Track and Field Conference Room

Second, below is a tentative schedule for summer track – please note that times and locations may change – we are still working on details.  And, as you know, changes may happen during the year to accommodate any last-minute necessities.  Please NOTE:  any changes to this schedule, including any notification of changes or cancelations due to weather, etc., will come from this source and NOT from the UH gate guards.
